Doyle Information
Doyle is an American rock band that was founded in 2012 by ex-Misfits lead guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. The band originated from Lodi, New Jersey, and deals in horror punk and heavy metal genres. The current lineup of the group is Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein – guitars; Alex "Wolfman" Story - lead vocals; Brandon Strate - bass, backing vocals; and Wade Murff – drums. Some of the former members are DieTrich Thrall – bass; The Abominable Dr. Chud – drums; and Brandon Pertzborn – drums.
Doyle was created from Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein's previous band named Gorgeous Frankenstein. The new project by Doyle was simply named "Doyle." "Annihilate America Tour" was the first tour by the band in 2014. The group hit the road for the "Abominator Tour 2015" in March, and the same year, it toured as an opening act for Mushroomhead. From September through October 2015, the "Abominator Tour 2015" was dubbed the "Mad Monster tour."
Abominator was the debut album by the band that was released in 2013. The album was first released digitally through INgrooves/Fontana on July 30, and it is distributed by Nippon Columbia (Japan), Altavoz (USA), and Cargo Records (Europe). "Valley of Shadows" was a single by the group that was released in 2013. A few of the hit singles by Doyle are "Drawing Down The Moon," and "Valley of Shadows." In 2017, Doyle announced an album entitled As We Die.
Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein is known to appear on stage with his most famous black sharp-edged custom "Annihilator" guitar.
