Dead by Wednesday Information
Dead by Wednesday (DBW) is a heavy metal band founded in 2006 that originated from New Haven, Connecticut. The current lineup consists of founding members Michael Modeste (bass) and Christian “Opus” Lawrence (drums), along with Dave Sharpe (guitar) and Rob Roy (vocals). The band has toured across the nation many times and most notably toured with Flotsam and Jetsam in 2015, Shadows Fall in 2014, and A Killers Confession in 2017. The group played many dates in 2015 at the Mayhem Festival.
Democracy Is Dead, the debut album by DBW, was released on May 20, 2006. The album was distributed through EMP Label Group. This label is the only group they have worked with since the group's inception. Five more albums followed it: The Killing Project (2008), The Last Parade (2011), Death of the Rockstar EP (2014), Darkest of Angels (2016), and Dead by Wednesday (2019). Some of the well-known associated acts of Dead by Wednesday include End-Time Illusion, Marc Rizzo & The Corrupters, Armageddon, Opus of DBW (solo acoustic project), Western Massacre, Act of War, David Ellefson, Violent Industry, and Gargantua Soul. The band won two Connecticut Music Awards in 2012 and 2013 for the category of Best Metal.
