Boston's Dalton & the Sheriffs are something of a rarity: a country band. The five-piece band's regional popularity skyrocketed in the 2010s because of their consistent live performances at local bars and opening for major acts.
Singer Brian Scully, guitarists Jon Silva and Steve Baker, bassist Sam Bouve, and drummer James Zaner formed the band in 2012 and began performing a weekly acoustic residency on Sunday nights. In 2013, they released a full-length album named East of Broadway.
As time passed, the band played shows often and began to gain a following in the area. The group dropped a mixtape titled "Heart on a Sleeve" in 2016. After the Parade, their debut album was released that same year (2017).
