Comeback Kid Information
Comeback Kid is a hardcore punk band from Canada. The current lineup consists of Loren Legare (drummer), Chase Brenneman (bassist), Jeremy Hiebert and Stu Ross (guitarists), and Andrew Nuefeld (vocalist). The band was formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 2002, by Hiebert and Neufeld. Both of them played in the band called Figure Four. They were later joined by Kyle Profeta and Scott Wade on Comeback Kid. The name of the band, Comeback Kid, came from a headline in a newspaper about Maria Lemieux, a hockey player coming back to the NHL.
In 2003, Comeback Kid released, Turn It Around through Facedown Records. After the release, the band started full-time touring and covered most of North America and even Europe. Comeback Kid has appeared on several high-profile hardcore punk festivals such as Posi Numbers and Hellfest. After the tour of Turn It Around, the band entered Fort Collins, Colorado, in Blasting Room to start recording the second album.
Comeback Kid released Wake the Dead in February 2005. It was released through Victory Records and the first one on the label. Scott Wade left the band after some long tours. Neufeld then became the vocalist of Comeback Kid, and they also began recording for their third album entitled Broadcasting. After the release, the band did more steady touring. The band kept touring for two straight years, and after that, they spent much of 2010 writing and recording their next album entitled Symptoms and Cures. The album was released internationally and in Canada through Victory Records by Distort Entertainment.
