Clint Roberts Information
Roberts, a native of the rural highlands of western North Carolina, mixes Folk, Americana, and Bluegrass to produce a robust country sound with lush soundscapes. His so-called "modern Appalachian music" combines his powerful voice, expressive poetry, and skillfully structured storytelling that evokes many feelings.
Roberts realized his true potential on stage. When he was 14 years old, a senior in his theater class presented the class with a ukulele. Always interested in learning a stringed instrument, he began with the ukulele and progressed to the banjo. Roberts began singing and playing guitar at the age of 20.
When he was shown Travis picking, in which the thumb plays the bass notes while the fingers pluck the higher strings, everything changed.
