Chris Walker Information
Chris Walker is an American producer and musician from Houston, Texas, who performs jazz and R&B. His musical start took place in the church as a member of his family gospel group named The Walker Brothers. Walker is known to play the bass upside down, just like one of his guitar heroes, Jimi Hendrix. Walker eventually moved to New York City and became Ornette Coleman's bass guitarist for two and a half years. Walker then toured with Regina Belle and soon became a musical director.
Walker released his debut album in 1991 entitled First Time. This album yielded two Top Five R&B hits, "Take Time" and "Giving You All My Love," peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. His second album, entitled Sincerely Yours, was released in 1993 and featured the single "How Do You Heal a Broken Heart," which received over 59 million views on Youtube.
For approximately a decade, Walker lived absent from the public music scene during which he was taking a new direction and working hard. Upon his return, Walker's music was popular in South Africa countries, and he performed with Regina Belle in the Soul & Jazz Experience in 2019. Some of his other notable albums are 2005: I Know It's Love, 2011: Zone, and 2019: We're In This Love Together - A Tribute to Al Jarreau.
