Cee Lo Green Information
Cee-Lo Green (May 30, 1974) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor. His original name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway. Green was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and went to Gainesville (Georgia).
Green started his music career in a church. He became the youngest member of the hip-hop group Goodie Mob from Atlanta, along with Khujo, Big Gipp, and T-Mo. He left the group in 1999 and started his solo career under the record label “Arista.” Green released his first album under Arista in 2002 titled “Cee-Lo Green and His Young Imperfections.” Overall his album did not process very well, but one of the singles of his album “Closet Freak” airplay.
Green released his second album under the same label in 2004, which was “Cee-Lo Green… Is The Soul Machine. '' In this album, he came up with more deeply explored southern rap music with a more branched-out sound collaborating with the most prominent hip-hop musicians of all time such as Pharell Williams, Ludacris, and T.I. This album ended up reaching no. 2 right after its debut on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart.
Green has also worked with DJ Danger Mouse as a part of a duo called “Gnarls Barkley.” They both met during an event at the University of Georgia. Since then, they have collaborated several times.
Further solo albums, Green released throughout his career so far include, The Lady Killer (2010), Cee Lo’s Magic Moment (2012), and Heart Blanche (2015).
