Cautious Clay is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Cleveland, Ohio. Cautious Clay is his stage name; his real name is Joshua Karpeh. The genre of the music he produces is R&B and Hip-Hop. He started his musical career in 2015. He completed his studies in International Affairs from the University of George Washington. Before becoming a singer, he was a real estate agent for two years and an advertiser for a year in New York. Organic and electronic sounds and hip-hop influenced the musical style of Cautious Clay. He knows how to play the guitar, flute, saxophone, keyboard, bass, and drums.
Cautious Clay released his first single on the 22nd of September of 2017 called “Cold War.” This single was also part of his debut Extended Play ‘Blood Type,’ which was released in the year 2018. Cautious Clay’s second EP was released on the 30th of May, 2018 called ‘Resonance’ and his third Extended Play was released on 27th March 2019 called ‘Table of Context.’ Cautious Clay also took part in one of the soundtracks for the third season of the TV series- ‘13 Reasons Why’ called ‘Swim Home.’ He is currently under no recording label and is working Independently.
