Catherine Russell Information
Catherine Russell (April 17, 1965) is a British screen, stage, and television actress. She was born in Lambeth, London. In addition to her many other accomplishments, Russell has been nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for her work in Chekhov's Three Sisters. She is a veteran of the West End's most prestigious theaters, including the National, the Royal Court, the Soho Theatre, the Chichester Festival Theatre, the Lyric, the Almeida Theatre, the Royal Exchange, Manchester, and the Menier Chocolate Factory, where she has performed the lead.
Previous roles include Masha in "Three Sisters" and "Tess" in "The Break of Day" by Timberlake Wertenbaker, "Rima" and "Phoebe" in "Talking to Terrorists" by Robin Soans, "Mrs. Peacham" and "Betty Rock" in "The Convict's Opera" by Stephen Jeffreys, and "Hildy" in "Dreams of Violence" by Stella Fee.
Russell has played a variety of roles on television, including Hugh Bonneville's sister Rachel Cazalet in The Cazalets, Gemma Jones's daughter Tish in Chelworth, Elly Chandler in Chandler & Co opposite Barbara Flynn and, later, Susan Fleetwood in Chandler & Co-written by Paula Milne, Nathaniel Parker's wife Helen in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, and Martin Shaw's wife Issy in Always and Everyone.
