Bun B Information
Bernard James Freeman (March 19, 1973) is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor professionally known as Bun B from Houston, Texas. The music of Bun B is classified as southern hip-hop type and is well-known for being one half of the rap duo UGK; the nickname was given to UnderGround Kingz. This group was founded in 1987 by Pimp C along with Bun B.
The first demo tape released by UGK did not feature Bun B. Instead, Bun B and friend Jalon Jackson had their music band named P.A Militia. Both these separate groups joined, and a new group was founded as 4 Black Ministers. Soon, Queen and Jackson left the band, and Bun B was left alone with Pimp C. The two of them decided to revert to UGK and released an EP entitled The Southern Way. The discography was a hit and followed by a debut album entitled Too Hard to Swallow. Some of the other albums released under UGK are Super Tight..., Dirty Money, and Ridin' Dirty.
Apart from UGK, Bun B also released a list of discographies as a solo artist. Some of his notable albums include Trill (2005), II Trill, Trill OG, Trill OG: The Epilogue, and Return of the Trill. Ghetto Stories, Video Girl, and Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap is the three notable filmographies done by Bun B. He was awarded the 360 Legend Award on June 24, 2014, for a successful music career and a positive impact on the local community.
