Bubba Sparxxx Information
Warren Anderson Mathis (March 6, 1977) is an American rapper, professionally known by his stage name, Bubba Sparxxx. His nearest neighbor, who lived half a mile away, introduced him to rap music through mixtapes mailed from New York City. He first became aware of hip hop through the music of 2 Live Crew before moving on to West Coast gangsta rap groups such as N.W.A and Too Short, as well as Atlanta's Outkast. He was a tight end and linebacker for his high school football team, earning All-Region accolades in his final year despite his rapping passion.
After relocating to Georgia in 1996, Bobby Stamps, an industry veteran, introduced him to the local music scene. Stamps overheard him rapping after a Georgia football game and brought him to Atlanta producer Shannon Houchins. Sparxxx's first commercial CD release, Dark Days, Bright Nights, was released in 2001 after two years of collaboration between Houchins and Stamps. The debut album was well received in Georgia, attracting the attention of Interscope Records' Jimmy Iovine. Sparxxx joined Interscope Records and began working with producers Timbaland and Organized Noize, as well as Shannon Houchins.
Sparxxx released Crickets with Hosier on November 11, 2020. Sparxxx's seventh album, King of Crap, was released on December 4, 2020, through New South Entertainment and featured the single "Bird Dawg." WORLDSTARHIPHOP released a video for "Bird Dawg" in May 2021.
