Brick and Mortar Information
Brick + Mortar is an American indie rock duo consisting of John Tacon and Brandon Asraf. Asraf and Tacon started making music together as an improvising pair on drums and bass in middle school. The common interest in music and songwriting brought the two closer together. Despite numerous attempts to make music with others, "it never worked" for them. John Tacon claims, "Brandon Asraf and I were always left holding the bag." Black Rhythm was the name of their first group together.
The band's self-titled debut studio album from 2010 featured recordings from the Mystic Room and was titled 7 Years. Critics and listeners alike praised the album highly. Music producers and managers took notice of the duo after hearing rave reviews of their live shows and the debut album. Brick + Mortar played a Sony/Jive Records showcase at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge in December 2010.
Brick & Mortar dropped a new song titled "One Little Pill" on YouTube on April 6, 2017; it was made available on iTunes and Spotify the following day. In addition to releasing "One Little Pill" as a single, the band also revealed that a remastered edition of Dropped EP, titled Dropped Again, would soon be coming out and include "One Little Pill" and another brand new song.
