Big Head Todd and the Monsters is a rock band. The current lineup comprises Todd Park Mohr, Brian Nevin, Rob Squires, and Jeremy Lawton. Big Records was established in 1989; the band released its debut album, Another Mayberry. Chris Mars of The Replacements provided artwork for Midnight Radio, which was released the next year. Big Head Todd and the Monsters had built up a sizable live fan base in the US by 1993.
In the summer of 2008, BHTM embarked on a tour. All The Love You Need, their eighth studio album, was released in July, prompting this extensive tour. Rocksteady was recorded by Big Head Todd and the Monsters in 2010. Songs like "Smokestack Lightning" by Howlin' Wolf and "Beast of Burden" by The Rolling Stones were featured. In 2011, under the moniker Big Head Blues Club, the band once again entered the recording studio to work on new material.
The music of blues legend Robert Johnson is remembered on the 100 Years of Robert Johnson album. Members of Big Head Todd and the Monsters were joined onstage by B. B. King, Charlie Musselwhite, Cedric Burnside, Ruthie Foster, and Lightnin' Malcolm. Big Head Todd and the Monsters have also performed as Big Head Blues Club, inviting some of the album's featured legends to join them onstage.
