Anthony David Harrington (December 4, 1971) is an American R&B singer and songwriter. He is better known by Anthony David and was born in Savannah, Georgia. David became involved in the music business during his time in Atlanta, where he met India.Arie, an R&B singer from Atlanta. Since then, they became good friends and took further steps to make their musical career progress. David wrote the first song for Arie entitled “Part of My Life.” The song was a part of Arie’s 7x Grammy-nominated album entitled “Acoustic Soul.”
David released his first independent album entitled “Three Chords & The Truth” in 2004. He kept evolving, and in 2006, he released his second independent album, “The Red Clay Chronicles.” David’s third notable release was soul and R&B music entitled “Acey Duecy.” The album came out in 2008 and received significant attention due to its first single, “Words,” a duet with Arie.
On February 22, 2011, Anthony David released the fourth album entitled “As Above So Below.” This release made him team up with Shannon Sanders, a new production partner for David from Nashville, Tennessee. He released two more notable albums entitled Love Out Loud (2012) and The Powerful Now (2016).
Some notable singles by David are “4Evermore” (2011), “Can’t Look Down” (2012), “Sweet Pain” (2012), and “Beautiful Problems” (2016). He has won the 2009 Grammy Award for “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.”
