Alex Zurdo Information
Alex Zurdo is a Puerto Rican Christian rapper and songwriter. He was born in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico. When he was 13, he got his hands on a piano and taught himself to play. His collaborations with non-Christian rap and reggaeton producers as "Zurdo" continued in the following years. In 2003, Zurdo and Rey Blasto recorded a duet for the album Rolexx: La Hora De La Venganza.
Nada es mo, his debut album of Christian music, was released by Universal Music Latino the next year when he was 21 years old, and he began his musical ministry, which included ministrations, conferences, and seminars. After his debut, Zurdo released an album annually till 2009. Included in this category are albums like "Con propósito," "Se trata de ti" (a collaboration with Jonny L), "De Gloria en Gloria - La Trayectoria," "Una y mil razones," and "As son las cosas."
His album Quién contra nosotros? (Who Against Us?) came out in 2018, and the single "Sin ti" from that album was named "Song of the Year in Spanish" at the Dove Awards. In 2019, he was nominated for Best Christian Album in Spanish at the Latin Grammys, the Dove Awards, and the Arpa Awards, and he won "Best Christian Album in Spanish" and "Best Urban Album" at the latter two.
