A Killer’s Confession is the project of a former American vocalist for an alternative metal band, Mushroomhead. The project signed a deal with EMP Label Group in September 2016. The deal was signed to release the debut album for the project. The current lineup of the group consists of Waylon Reavis (vocals), JP Cross (bass), Morgan Bauer (drums), and Thomas Church (guitars). The group released its debut album, Unbroken, in spring 2017. The album was recorded partially and mixed at Kentucky’s Third Sky Studio and Reavis, Thom Hazaert, Matt Trumpy, Jon Dale, and Richard Easterling, who worked as co-producers for the album.
A Killer’s Confession released its debut single entitled “A Killer’s Confession” on Halloween 2016. The single featured a guest performance by Brian “Head” Welch, the American nu metal band’s guitarist called Korn. In December 2016, AKC played their first show with Dead By Wednesday. On December 17, the band culminated in a hometown show at the Cleveland Agora. In 2019, the group released its second album entitled, The Indifference Of Good Men. Some notable singles of AKC include “I Wish” (2017), “Angel on the Outside” (2017), “Reanimated” (2018), “Numb” (2019), “Last Chance” (2020), and “Remember” (2021).
