Sarah Sherman (March 7, 1993) is an American actress, comedian, and screenwriter. She was born in Long Island, New York. After graduating from Great Neck South High School, she earned her theater degree from Northwestern University in 2014. After Sherman failed to make the Northwestern University improv squad, she became interested in stand-up comedy. She stayed in WORDSChicago after finishing college, where she made friends with comedians like Megan Stalter and hosted a monthly event with Luke Taylor, David Brown, Wyatt Fair, and Scott Egleston under Helltrap Nightmare.
Jackass Forever, a sequel to the 2022 reality comedy film, had Sherman listed as a writer. Sherman will appear as a playable character in the video game High on Life's downloadable content and the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy film for Netflix, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, alongside Idina Menzel, Luis Guzmán, and Ido Mosseri. Her other notable role is as "Coriander Cadaverish" in the Nimona cartoon.
Sherman has stated that Seinfeld, The Nanny, The Golden Girls, Pee-wee's Playhouse, and The Ren & Stimpy Show are among the humorous shows she has watched and been inspired by. When she first began performing, she was inspired to pursue stand-up by Todd Barry, Maria Bamford, and Kristen Schaal.
