Bob Marley is an American comedian. His television appearances include Comedy Central, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and The David Letterman Show. You may also see him in the movie The Boondock Saints. Marley relocated to Portland, Maine, from Bangor, Maine, where he spent his childhood. According to Marley, his dad was unaware that a musician named Bob Marley existed. While a University of Maine in Farmington student, he decided he wanted to be a comedian.
Life in Maine is the main topic of Marley's comic parts. On Comedy Central, he made his television debut. In the films The Boondock Saints and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, he played the character of Detective Greenly. He has hosted guest spots on XM Radio's Blue Collar Radio (97) and RawDog Comedy (99) channels, and, beginning in 2013, he has hosted a weekly feature on Coast 93.1-WMGX in Portland, Oregon, titled "The World According to Bob."
After breaking the record Lindsay Webb of Australia held for the longest continuous stand-up routine, Marley entered the Guinness Book of World Records on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 11:02 pm EDT. He finished 40 hours of stand-up comedy, the first 17 hours and 14 minutes of which were completely original. David Scott shattered Marley's record on April 30, 2013, at 40 hours and 8 minutes.
