Adirondack Thunder Information
Adirondack Thunder is a professional ice hockey team in Glens Falls, New York. The team plays in the ECHL—a league one level down from the AHL—and is affiliated with the NHL's New Jersey Devils. The Cool Insuring Arena is home to the Thunder and is famous for its intimate setting that puts you as close as possible to the Thunder and the action during game day.
The Thunder had a challenging 2021 season as they dealt with many new safety protocols and roster changes. However, this team proved competitive, fielding a combination of veterans and relative newcomers whose on-ice presence was exciting. The team's style of hard work and resilience came out in their games.
As they enter the 2022 season, the Adirondack Thunder sought impressions within the ECHL. The guys worked on our tactical skills and the team chemistry — which helped to get a better result. Long-standing coach staff who, by all standards, are experienced, were tasked with grooming young talents to be in a position to advance to higher levels. Promotional events and community outreach programs continued for the Thunder to engage in their community and promote the images of a key sports entity in the region.
