Zacarias Ferreira Information
Zacarias Ferreira (October 10, 1968) is a Dominican musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Canca Arriba, Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Born and raised in a family of singers and musicians, it’s not strange that Ferreira wanted to pursue his career as a musician. His first joining as a band member was in the Brugal rum company orchestra, where he played for almost five years. In 1997, he entered the bachata scene and his debut album entitled Me Libere. The album was successful and won the prestigious Dominican music award entitled Cassandra.
For the second time in his career, Ferreira won the music award for his album, El Triste. He also became the first bachatero artist who performed at the Festival de Presidente. Ferreira began traveling to the United States in the winter of 2001. It was for the first time he had traveled to the United States. He stayed there for around six-and-a-half weeks in New York City and played 77 gigs.
Ferreira has released several studio albums in his career including Adios (2001), Novia Mia (2002), El Amor Vencerá (2004), Quiereme (2005), Dime Que Falto (2007), Te Dejo Libre (2009), Quedate Conmigo (2011), Mi Dulzura (2012), Quiero Ser Tu Amor (2016), and a few more.
