Yahzarah Information
Dana Nicole Amma Williams (June 24, 1978), known professionally as YahZarah, is a Ghanaian American singer and music producer. Her radio singles "Wishing" and "Why Don'tcha Call Me No More" are well known. She started her career in 1997 by singing backup for Erykah Badu.
Yahzarah released her debut record, Hear Me, in 2000 after signing with Keo Music Records. Yahzarah secured a recording deal with Three Keys Music in 2002, and in September 2003, she dropped her second album, Blackstar. In 2004, YahZarah joined The Foreign Exchange after leaving Three Keys Music. Yahzarah made a brief return to the music business. On the +FE Music record label, she released The Prelude, an extended play, in 2008. Yahzarah's single "Why Don'tcha Call Me No More" was published in January 2010, and her third album, The Ballad of Purple St. James, was released in May 2010.
Throughout her career, she has performed in various musical genres, including R&B, rock, acoustic, soul, jazz, and pop. Michael Jackson, Minnie Riperton, Prince, and The Beatles are some of the artists who have influenced her work. She can sing in the whistle register and has a soprano vocal range.
