Wolfe Tones Information
The Wolfe Tones is an Irish rebel music band. The current lineup includes Noel Nagle, Brian Warfield, and Tommy Byrne. A documentary was shot at the Wolfe Tones' 45th anniversary celebration on October 26, 2008, at Belfast's Waterfront Hall. For a series of concerts over Easter weekend in 2014, they commemorated their half-century milestone by playing at the Citywest Hotel and Conference Centre.
Along with being inducted into the Barrowlands Hall of Fame for their musical contributions, they headlined the Féile a Phobail in West Belfast in 2018 to a sell-out audience of over 12,000 people. The Wolfe Tones play three shows at Dublin's Citywest Hotel every December.
Shows at the Olympia Theatre, INEC Ireland, Broadway in New York, and the Atheneum Chicago were all sold out in 2022 and 2023 by the band. Nevertheless, they made the announcement of their retirement in 2023, and they would end their career with a 60th anniversary tour. The band's final performance will be in Belfast in October 2024, following performances in the United States, Galway Airport, and Castlebar, County Mayo in August 2024.
