Wayne Baker Brooks (April 30, 1970) is an American blues-rock and blues singer and guitarist. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Blues legend Lonnie Brooks's son started playing guitar in the band with his dad and the rest of the gang in 1990. He started the Wayne Baker Brooks Band in 1997.
The book he conceived and co-wrote with Cub Koda and Lonnie Brooks, Blues for Dummies, was released in August 1998. After a show at Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven Foundation/Chess Records in Chicago on October 27, 1998, he and his band played for First Lady Hillary Clinton.
In 2003, Brooks played the MLB All-Star Game at U.S. Cellular Field in front of a crowd of 47,000. In 2003, Brooks launched his record label, and on October 26, 2004, he released his debut album, Mystery, to widespread critical acclaim and four stars from Allmusic.
