Once a year, the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, plays host to the Watershed Music Festival, a country music extravaganza. The first festival, put on by Live Nation, went down from August 3 to 5, 2012. The Watershed Festival lasts for three days. The festival's biggest draws are the many live music stages, which feature established names in country music alongside up-and-coming artists and local favorites. Founder and head of Live Nation's country division and six-time recipient of the Country Music Association's "Promoter of the Year" award, Brian O'Connell oversaw the production of the inaugural event.
Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, The Lost Trailers, Steve Holy, Johnny Reid, Kix Brooks, Dwight Yoakam, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Uncle Kracker, Sara Evans, Tracy Lawrence, Morgan Frazier, Reckless Kelly, Thompson Square, and Brantley Gilbert were just some of the performers at the first Watershed Music Festival.
