Rolling Loud Festival Information
Across the globe, in Europe, South America, Asia, and North America, the Rolling Loud hip-hop music has been gathering crazy fans since 2015. It has since been hailed as "the be-all of hip-hop festivals" by Billboard and "one of the biggest festivals in the world" by Complex. The event in Miami drew around 210,000 spectators in 2019.
After meeting in Hollywood, Florida in primary school, festival founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif started the event in 2015. Both started planning and publicizing parties that "leaned heavily on a mix of Southern and Midwestern rap" when they were in high school. After an after-party with Rick Ross as the headliner in 2010, they progressed to professional live music events. They began holding monthly Miami concerts in the summer of 2013 when they began to include emerging musicians such as Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar.
The 2017 season saw Rolling Loud relocate to Downtown Miami's Bayfront Park. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens has been the event site since 2018. With the debut of Rolling Loud Southern California and Rolling Loud Bay Area in 2017, the festival began to branch out to other cities.
The year 2022 saw Rolling Loud's international expansion continue unabated. In 2021, Rolling Loud announced their first-ever relationship with a European festival: the 2022 WOO HAH!, which took place from July 1 to 3, 2022, in Hilvarenbeek, Netherlands. Rolling Loud Rotterdam debuted in 2023 from June 30 to July 1, following a fruitful collaboration to produce Woo Hah! 2022 in the Netherlands. It was reported that Rolling Loud will debut in Munich, Germany, from July 7 to 9, 2023, marking its third location in Europe.
