Victory Boyd Information
Victory Boyd was a part of the vocal-harmony sibling group Infinity's Song. She draws on the gospel, folk, jazz, and soul music she learned to perform while growing up in a musically active family as Victory. She made her solo music debut on Jay-Roc Z's Nation label in 2017 with the EP It's a New Dawn, sporting a distinctly rich, honeyed rasp.
Boyd, one of nine children, grew up participating in the Boys & Girls Choir of Detroit, which her father, John Boyd, created. Boyd joined the choir when he was four years old and began singing. Later, she took jazz guitar lessons. When she was 12, the family relocated from Detroit to North Bergen, New Jersey. They began busking together at tourist destinations and subway platforms in New York City under various names, including Peace Industry Music Group. The family subsequently gained notoriety for frequently performing in the Minton Tile Arcade, a popular location for its acoustics near Bethesda Fountain.
Boyd started a side project called Infinity's Song with her younger sister Angel and older brother Abraham. Infinity's Song occasionally includes other family members in their lineup, gaining global notoriety in 2015 after pop diva Tori Kelly stumbled upon them in Central Park.
