Two Door Cinema Club Information
Band Two Door Cinema Club is from Bangor, Northern Ireland. The group has been together since 2007. The current members of the band are Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, rhythms, synthesizers), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, synths, backing vocals).
On March 1, 2010, French indie label Kitsuné Music published the band's debut album, titled Tourist History. The album was made public in the US on April 27, 2010, when the band was signed to Glassnote Records. The next year, in 2011, Tourist History won the Choice Music Prize as the best Irish album of that year.
Beacon, the band's second studio album, was released on September 3, 2012. It quickly rose to the top of the Irish Albums Chart and the UK Albums Chart, ultimately peaking at number two in both charts.
Gameshow, the band's third studio album, came out on October 14, 2016. On June 14, 2016, the debut song "Are We Ready? (Wreck)" was released and included on Annie Mac's Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1. Additional singles, "Bad Decisions" and "Gameshow," were released before the album and are included.
"Satellite" and "Talk" were featured on their fourth studio album, False Alarm, released on June 21, 2019. In the following years, they were commonplace at events like Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds. A brand new song by the band titled "Sure Enough" was issued as a single in September 2023.
