Travis Porter Information
Travis Porter is an American hip-hop trio. The group's current lineup consists of Strap da Fool, Quez, and Ali. Originally known as the Hard Hitters, the band changed its name to Travis Porter to better appeal to a wider audience. After rebranding, the band traveled extensively across the United States and eventually beyond. In 2008, the band performed in several locations in Kaiserslautern, Bamberg, and Germany.
The widespread distribution of their mixtapes and the increasing demand for their live shows propelled Travis Porter to stardom. Black Boy, White Boy, Uh Huh, Go Shorty Go, and All the Way Turnt Up are four of the group's biggest underground hits. During the summer of 2010, the band made an appearance on The Mo'Nique Show and at one of Atlanta's biggest concerts, Birthday Bash. At the BMI Unsigned Artist presentation in Atlanta, they shared the stage with Drake of Canada.
The trio released their first single, "Make It Rain," on December 22, 2010. It debuted at number 97 on the Urban radio charts and reached number 50. Jive Records, along with Arista Records and J Records, was shut down by RCA Music Group on October 7, 2011.
