The Roddenberries is an American Star Trek sci-fi multimedia rock cabaret. The band originated from Philadelphia, PA in 2012, and has remained there. The group enjoys exploring strange new parodies and consistently seeks out new fans. It has been said that The Roddenberries boldly goes where no Star Band has gone before.
The Roddenberries is a 10-piece troupe composed of cabaret performers, professional musicians, dancers, filmmakers, and educators. The shows performed by the band span the realms of Star Trek, fantasy, gaming, Star Wars, science fiction, Marvel, and Dr. Who.
The current lineup of the band is Bill Tayoun aka Spocknik – keys, Beth Kellner aka Sister Spock – vocals, Scott Johnston aka Captain Scotch Whiskey – vocals, Joe Tayoun aka J-Warp – percussion, Ned Sonstein aka Zephram Coque-Ring – bass, Andrew Geller aka Commandrew – guitar, P.M. Eaton aka Captain Benjamin Disko – guitar, Chris Pires aka Christopher Pikeland Pils – drums, Jon Trimble aka Shotty – trumpet, Rick' Pepper' Holmes aka Kah'lesque – drums, Michael Baldwin aka Colonel Chuck, Jagermeister – vocals, and Kevin Gallagher aka Smiles O'Highren - chief engineer.
The Roddenberries have been featured on some of the biggest tv and radio stations and has performed at multiple events around the country. Some of the major events include Star Trek's Official 50th Anniversary Convention that took place at The Rio Las Vegas, Comic Cons, and World Cafe Live. The group has shared the stage with multiple celebrities and personalities such as J.G. Hertzler, Star Trek's Rod Roddenberry, Robert Picardo, along with popular gaming voice Troy Baker.
