The Red Pears Information
Originally from El Monte, California, The Red Pears play alternative/indie music. Henry Vargas plays guitar and sings lead vocals, Jose Corona plays drums, and their buddy Patrick Juarez plays bass for the band. After knowing each other since high school and playing in several ensembles, both individually and together, Jose and Henry got together in the summer of 2014 to start another band. Because they were so ideologically and philosophically aligned, things went off from there.
To begin, they performed as a duo, with their first performance being at a church open mic night. As a trio, they began performing everywhere, from private events to bars to coffee shops to open mic nights. When "We Bring Anything to the Table... Except Tables, We Can't Bring Tables to the Table" came out, it received much-unexpected attention, and things began moving quickly. They have been performing and have seen an increase in attendance throughout the years.
With the help of their dedicated fan base and their current album, "For Today, For Tomorrow, For What Is, For What Could've Been," the band is breaking barriers previously thought impossible for a collection of Latino musicians to emerge from the San Gabriel Valley.
