The Machine Information
The Machine is one of the oldest American tribute bands honoring the music of Pink Floyd. The current lineup of the group includes Scott Chasolen (keyboards and vocals), Tahrah Cohen (drums), Joe Pascarella (guitar and vocals), and Dylan Kelehan (bass and vocals). The band was formed in 1988 by Joe Pascarella and Tahrah Cohen. Since its inception, The Machine has performed hundreds of shows around the world. The group started as a cover band that used to play gigs local to the Rockland County, New York area. The members did not start by playing Pink Floyd exclusively at the beginning of their careers.
The Machine was approached by a talent agent in 1989 who suggested they perform full-time. They soon garnered a delighted response from their audience that helped the band grow their reputation. The Machine soon became one of the forerunners of the tribute band phenomenon. Since then, the group members have played thousands of shows worldwide, and the band also went through several lineup changes.
The Machine has released a few of their projects as well, including Softly Spoken Magic Spells (recording of one of their live concerts from the Wetlands in New York) (1999), Till We Meet Again (2000), and Two Nights at the Keswick (2003).
