The Franklin Electric Information
The Franklin Electric is a Canadian indie folk band. The current lineup of the group consists of Adam Passalacqua, Ken Presse, and Jon Malle. Most notably, the band was shortlisted for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2018 Juno Awards. Leader of the group and guitarist/vocalist Jon Matte is backed up by guitarist Ken Pressé, bassist Paul Lucyk, and drummer Adam Passalacqua.
Originally released in 2013, This Is How I Let You Down is The Franklin Electric's debut album. In 2014, Indica Records republished the album. The record was promoted with a North American tour with many European support slots. An animated music video for "The Strongest Man Alive" was produced by the band.
The band's second album, Blue Ceilings, was released in February of 2017 and featured many musical styles, including folk, pop, and electronic indie pop. They performed in Germany in April after touring Canada and Australia in support of the album.
