The Doughboys Information
Doughboys is an American live podcast that features Nick Wiger and Mike Mitchell, who review chain restaurants such as sit-down restaurants, fast-casual restaurants, and fast-food restaurants. They both started this podcast back in May 2015. Doughboys began offering bonus episodes for Patreon supporters during March 2017. It was under the name Doughboys Double. In April 2018, Doughboys also joined the HeadGum network. They were previously associated with the Feral Audio network until its disbandment.
Doughboys podcast episodes have featured many notable people from the comedy world such as D’Arcy Carden, Paul F. Tompkins, John Hodgeman, Jason Mantzoukas, Paul Scheer, Bill Oakley, Lauren Lapkus, Heather Anne Campbell, Haley Joel Osment, Matt Besser, Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Ike Barinholtz, Sarah Silverman, Gillian Jacobs, and Scott Aukerman. Both podcast members have also performed many live shows across Canada and in the United States.
Each episode of the Doughboys podcast includes recurring segments such as “Roast Spoonman,” where Wiger reads insults of Mitchell submitted by the listener. Another is “Drank or Stank,” where the host and guest both taste a beverage and review it whether it’s worth drinking or not. Another segment is “Snack or Wack.” In this segment, the hosts and their guests check out the food and determine if it’s worth eating.
