Taylor Hollingsworth Information
Taylor Hollingsworth is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and artist from Birmingham, Alabama. He is known as a member of Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band and Dead Fingers. Hollingsworth was raised in a musical family and purchased his first guitar at 14. Soon, he started playing in a variety of bands, including The Dexateens and Verbena. In 2002, Hollingsworth began to gain notoriety with the now-defunct Taylor and the Puffs. In 2003, Taylor and the Puffs released an album entitled “You Know That Summer’s Comin’ in 2003” on Skybucket Records’.
Hollingsworth released his first album, “Tragic City” in 2005. He was also among several musicians, including Nate Walcott, Macey Taylor, Jason Boesel, and Nick Freitas, to travel to Tepoztlan, Mexico, in 2007 to contribute to new solo recordings of Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst.
Hollingsworth has also made several appearances on television and in films. His notable television performances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (2008), The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (2008), Late Night with Conan O’Brien (2008), Late Night David Letterman (2009), and The Late Late Show with James Corden (2017).
Hollingsworth owns a long solo career in 2003 after releasing the album “You Know That Summer’s Comin.” Some of the other notable solo albums include Shoot Me, Shoot Me Heaven EP (2005), Bad Little Kitty (2008), Life with a Slow Ear (2008), and Where To Go, How To Get There, And What You Should Know in Advance (2011).
