TAUK Information
TAUK is an American progressive rock-fusion band from Oyster Bay, New York. Tauk is the short form of Montauk, NY. This four-piece group consists of Matt Jalbert (guitar), A.C. Carter (keyboards and organ), Charlie Dolan (bass), and Isaac Teel (drums). The group members began playing music together while they grew up on Long Island as passionate teenagers. They formed a band when Carter, Dolan, and Jalbery were in seventh grade. Isaac Teel joined this band much later when he first met Carter during their college.
Alessandro Zanelli was the initial vocalist for Tauk, who left the band in 2011 and was never replaced. Since then, Tauk has been working as an instrumental group. The band was able to gain its first major attention in 2014 when the members opened for Umphrey's McGee on tour.
Talk has also toured with Disco Biscuits, STS9, The String Cheese Incident, Papadosio, and others. The group is well known for touring the United States regularly. Their average is about 160 shows yearly. Headroom was the first double-CD set released by the band in 2015. Some of their other notable discographies include Sir Nebula (2016), Collisions (2014), Shapeshifter II: Outbreak (2018), Brokedown King (2010), and a few more.
A few hit singles by Tauk are Horizon (2016), Realize (2017), Revenge of Weenus (2017), Space Ghost (2017), Premises (2018), CMF 9000 (2018), Convoy (2018), Checkmate (2018), Come On Now (2020), and finally Moon Dub (2021).
