Sunny War is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter based in Los Angeles. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Her childhood was quite nomadic, as she kept moving from Michigan, Colorado, and eventually living on the streets of San Francisco. Right now, she is in her 20s, and she has already settled in Los Angeles as a teenager. She is best known for street playing in Venice Beach. Her initial musical influences include Black Flag, Joan Armatrading, Tracy Chapman, Elmore James, and Robert Johnson.
Sunny War released her debut album, Worthless, in 2014. Other albums that she released include Red, White, and Blue (2016), With the Sun (2018), Particle War (2018), Shell of a Girl (2019), and Simple Syrup (2021).
