The American a cappella group Straight No Chaser (SNC) is a professional act. Randy Stine, Michael Luginbill, Steve Morgan, Jerome Collins, Walter Chase, Seggie Isho, Tyler Trepp, Jasper Smith, and Freedom Young now make up the cast. The 36-hour dance marathon was where SNC first performed. The original lineup played at Wrigley Field, Comiskey Park, and Navy Pier in Chicago; they also supported Lou Rawls and toured the United States, stopping at Carnegie Hall.
Straight No Chaser became a hit in 2008 when a video of their version of The 12 Days of Christmas went viral online. The group had formed years earlier, in 1996, at Indiana University, but that one video brought them back into the spotlight. They sing a cappella, which means no instruments, just voices.
