Still Corners Information
Still Corners is a British-American dream pop band. The group's current lineup consists of Greg Hughes (producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist) and Tessa Murray (vocals and keys). Murray and Hughes met by chance at a London train station when the train was diverted to a different location. Murray is from England, whereas Hughes was up in Arizona and Texas before moving to England to pursue a career in music for a few years.
On June 13, 2008, Still Corners self-published their debut EP, Remember Pepper?, followed by a 7-inch single, "Don't Fall in Love," released on August 30, 2010, by UK label The Great Pop Supplement. In 2011, the pair signed with Sub Pop Records and released Creatures of an Hour, their first full-length album, to positive reviews. The band released a new single, "Fireflies," in October 2012, which Pitchfork voted "Best New Track."
Strange Pleasures, their second album, was released on Sub Pop on May 7, 2013. "Berlin Lovers," the second track, was well-received. On September 16, 2016, they released their third album, Dead Blue, on their own Wrecking Light Records label. Still Corners has released the video for "Lost Boys," the album's first song.
