Stick Men Information
Stick Men is a progressive rock band that was founded by Pat Mastelotto, Tony Levin, and Michael Bernier in 2007. The group is from Boston, Massachusetts, and still consists of these founding members though one of the past members is Michael Bernier. The group was created as a vehicle for progressive rock music that is usually performed with Chapman Sticks and drums. The group released a solo album entitled Stick Man in 2007. Soup was another album by the band that was released in 2010. Absalom was another album released the following year. It was followed by a collection of improvisations entitled Open, in June 2012.
Some of the other studio albums by the band are Deep (2013), Prog Noir (2016), and a few more. In January 2014, the Stick Men released their first live album entitled Power Play. Some of the live albums by the band are Unleashed: Live Improvs 2013 (2014), Midori: Live in Tokyo (Featuring David Cross) (2016), and Roppongi - Live in Tokyo 2017 (Featuring Mel Collins) (2017).
Stick Men also released some Digital Release live albums that are Live in Montevideo 2011, Live in Buenos Aires 2011, a first and second show for Midori - Live in Tokyo 2015 Featuring David Cross), Roppongi - Live in Tokyo 2017, Show 1, and Roppongi - Live in Tokyo 2017, Show 2. The three compilations by the band are Supercollider: An Anthology 2010-2014 (2014), KONNEKTED (2017), Digital Release, and KOLLEKTED (2017).
