The Sherwood Forest Faire, located just outside of Austin, Texas, hosts the annual Sound on Sound Festival for three days yearly. The festival offers up-and-coming and established punk bands, stand-up comedians, and action sports activities. Many well-known artists, such as Young Thug, Tim Heidecker, and Beach House, performed at the first annual Sound on Sound Festival in 2016.
The Sound on Sound Festival is a joint production between Margin Walker Presents and Funhouse Services and has three stages for punk rock, heavy metal, and hip hop performances. Official vendors for the event include a wide variety of Austin-based food trucks, eateries, and NGOs.
There are live-panel discussions, skateboard and BMX activities, and more than 10 acres of campsite space during the festival, in addition to the famous musicians and comedians. The Sherwood Forest Renaissance Faire's fire eaters, jousters, and period performers are regulars at these events. Sound on Sound has hosted several notable acts in recent years, such as Thundercat, Todd Barry, and Aesop Rock.
