Skribe Information
Skribe is an American garage-folk group that draws its roots from the 60’s garage and Americana spirit. The group’s current lineup consists of Aaron (vocals, guitar, canjo, and kazoo), Uncle Ben (upright bass), Jacob Panic (banjo), Cory Streett (drums), and Stacey Rae Sinclair (fiddle). Their release “Postcards” creaks and rumbles from the blues-punk. The band plays an oil can that’s called a canjo-zookie.
The band’s music is crafted without polishing that may be required to showcase the allure. The band’s focus of sound is the rhythmic acoustic plucking and strumming. Skribe released its debut album in 2009 entitled “Doin’ The Dirt.” They built enough momentum after the debut release and quickly moved towards releasing their second project in 2013 entitled “Less is More.”
