Shaky Knees Music Festival Information
In Atlanta, Georgia, there is an annual music festival called Shaky Knees. Tim Sweetwood started the festival in 2013 to give Atlanta, Georgia, a more traditional indie music event to add to the city's lineup, including Sweetwater 420 Fest and Music Midtown. The Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta's Central Park is hosting the festival. The original Shaky Knees event was two days long, but he extended it to three days.
In 2015, Shaky Knees was ranked no. 4 on USA Today's national list of the "10 Best Readers Choice: Best Music Festivals." Among the "50 Must-See Music Festivals" of summer 2015, Shaky Knees was featured in Rolling Stone magazine. Due to the lack of a significant country music festival in Georgia, Sweetwood launched Shaky Boots in 2015 as a solution. Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, and Old Crow Medicine Show were among the performers at the two-day festival.
2016 Centennial Olympic Park hosted the Shaky Beats Music Festival the weekend after Shaky Knees. Odesza, Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Porter Robinson, and Carnage were the electronic dance music (EDM) artists performing in its first year. 2017, it featured performances by Flosstradamus, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, GRiZ, and The Chainsmokers.
