Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti (January 11, 1983) is commonly known as Seun Kuti, a Nigerian musician, singer, and the youngest son of the most famous afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. He has led his father's former band known as Egypt 80. He is originally from Lagos, and was featured by Jidenna, an African raised American rapper, in his sophomore album entitled, '85 to Africa'. Suen also voiced the outro of the song, and the official video of this song was released on August 23, 2019. Kuti was featured in Calle 13's song "Todo se mueve." The song was included on the 2010 album Entren Los Que Quieran by the band.
Kuti actively participated in the Occupy Nigeria protests that were held against the fuel subsidy removal policy of President Goodluck Jonathan. Seun Kuti was given an honorary invitation in 2014, to perform live for the first time at the great Industry Nite. He was featured in the Visual Collaborative electronic catalog, under the Polaris series in June 2019. Kuti was interviewed on Pan-African awareness about his country and music.
Black Times was an album by Kuti that was nominated for the Grammys, under the World Music Category in 2018.
