Sebastian Yatra (October 15, 1994) is a Colombian actor, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Medellin, Antioquia. He got his start in Latin music, recording several ballads, but he's also had some hits with reggaeton. Yatra is well-known for his passionate words, which combine classic lyricism with contemporary reggaeton styles. His 2016 single "Traicionera" became a smash in Latin America, catapulting him to stardom.
He has three studio albums, and he has collaborated with musicians from many different genres. His song "Oye," which features Tini of Argentina, topped the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart for the week of October 26, 2019. Over 40 million people watched the music video in the first two weeks after it was posted to YouTube. Yatra went to Colombia to pursue a career in music, where he had first begun singing as a child.
First with "Traicionera," then with "Robarte un Beso" with Carlos Vives, he became widely known. His 2018 first album, Mantra, featured the singles "Traicionera" and "Sutra," the latter of which featured Puerto Rican rapper Dalmata. Later, he dropped "Un Ao," the album's lead single, which featured the Mexican band Reik, onto the market as part of his Fantasa project. He found even more success through his work on the bilingual hit "Runaway" with Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha, and the Jonas Brothers.
