Scorpions Information
The Scorpions is a German hard rock band. The current lineup comprises Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, Pawel Maciwoda, and Mikkey Dee. The band re-recorded their CCA songs and added bassist Lothar Heimberg and drummer Wolfgang Dziony for their 1972 first album, Lonesome Crow. With the new lineup, Fly to the Rainbow was released in 1974. Songs like "Speedy's Coming" and the title tune helped to establish the band's sound, and the album ended up being more successful than Lonesome Crow.
Scorpions went into Peppermint Park Studios in Hanover on July 25, 2020, to get back to work on their nineteenth studio album. In March 2021, drummer Mikkey Dee confirmed in an interview with Robb Flynn of Machine Head that the band had to scrap their plans to collaborate with Greg Fidelman because of the pandemic. Originally, the album's sessions were supposed to be held in Los Angeles, but they were conducted remotely, with Fidelman participating via Zoom.
Scorpions revealed the title of their nineteenth studio album, Rock Believer, on September 29, 2021, and set the release date for February 11, 2022. However, the band later decided to delay the album's release two weeks after the original date. They toured North America with Thundermother and Whitesnake to promote the record while touring Europe with Mammoth WVH and Whitesnake on their farewell tour.
