Say Sue Me Information
Say Sue Me is a South Korean indie rock band. The current group lineup includes Jaeyoung Kim, Sungwan Lim, Byungkyu Kim, and Sumi Choi. Since the three were impressed by Sumi's vocal abilities, they quickly invited her to join their new band, Say Sue Me. We've Sobered Up, Say Sue Me's first album, was released in 2014, and Big Summer Night, their first EP, was released in 2015. Gaon Album Chart in South Korea, peaking at no. 64 and no. 79.
After fracturing his skull in 2016, drummer Semin lapsed into a coma. Supporters of Say Sue Me and other Busan indie bands collected almost 13 million won in a single day to help pay for his hospital expenses. The band's 2017 Record Store Day EP was titled Semin in honor of their injured drummer, including replacement drummer Changwon. In the same year, the band put out an album of covers under their name on the UK label Damnably.
In May of the same year, the band performed at London's legendary 100 Club in support of label mates Otoboke Beaver. Later that same year, they released a split single with their tour colleagues Otoboke Beaver, which included "Good For Some Reason," the band's debut recording with new drummer Changwon. Where We Were Together is Say Sue Me's a second studio album, released in 2018. A week later, on Record Store Day, they released the EP It's Just a Short Walk!, which features covers of songs by Blondie, the Ramones, the Velvet Underground, and the Beach Boys.
