Sabaton Information
Sabaton is a Swedish heavy metal band. The group's current lineup consists of Tommy Johannsson, Hannes Van Dahl, Chris Rorland, Par Sundstrom, and Joakim Broden. In the winter of 1999, Sabaton came together. Sabaton was contacted by a few record labels after their initial sessions at Peter Tägtgren's The Abyss studio. After signing with Italian label Underground Symphony, the band's promotional CD Fist for Fight was released worldwide.
The disc, compiled from two demo tapes produced in 1999 and 2000, was released to generate buzz for new material by Sabaton. Metalizer, scheduled for release by Underground Symphony in 2002, was scrapped due to the band's inability to secure a record deal. The record was put on hold for two years as the band played shows across Sweden. Global East Rock Festival, Ukraine, 2010. Joakim Brodén. A new Sabaton album, Primo Victoria, was released in 2005 after the band inked a deal with Black Lodge, the metal sub-label of Sound Pollution.
The album's title track, according to Brodén, "kicked off" the band's historical motif. According to Sundström, the band decided to center their lyrics around historical topics after he and Brodén watched Saving Private Ryan. Keyboardist Daniel Myhr was brought in to take over for Joakim Brodén at the beginning of 2005. Sabaton went on tour with Edguy and DragonForce at the beginning of 2006.
