Robert Coleman Thomas (March 6, 1999), often known as Rob49, is an American musician and rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. After leaving Southern University in 2020, Thomas launched his musical career. He went by the moniker "Rob49" because he was born and raised in the 4th and 9th wards of New Orleans. The song "Topia Twins" by Travis Scott featured him and 21 Savage, reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023, and is his most famous solo work.
He appeared on the " Igloo " track from the January 6, 2023, album Coke Boys 6 by French Montana and DJ Drama. In 2023, he was an opener for Future's One Big Party Tour. Thomas contributed vocals to the track "Armageddon" on Trippie Redd's January 20, 2023, album Mansion Musik. He appeared on Huncho Bookie's 2023 single "Line Em Up" on January 27.
On the eleventh track, "Topia Twins," from Travis Scott's studio album Utopia, which came out on July 28, 2023, he was joined by 21 Savage. He dropped 4GOD II deluxe on August 11, 2023, with extra features from Skilla Baby, Tay B, and Lil Durk. He was featured on the tune "Better Run Better Duck" from Lil Zay Osama's album 4 The Trenches, released on August 18, 2023.
