Ratboys Information
Ratboys are an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed in 2010 by Dave Sagan and Julia Steiner. The band’s current lineup consists of Julia Steiner (guitar, lyrics, and vocals), David Sagan (guitar), Sean Newmann (bass, vocals), and Marcus Nuccio (drums). Dave Sagan and Julia Steiner were studying together when they shared the band formation idea and ultimately formed Ratboys.
In 2015, Ratboys relocated to Chicago, Illinois, and released its debut album, which was entitled “AOID.” The album was released on Topshelf Records. The band kept working and released its second studio album in 2017 named “GN.” They began to gain notoriety while also touring with other rising acts such as Wild Pink, Diet Cig, Soccer Mommy, PUP, and many more. GN was named one of the 15 Great Albums You Didn’t Head in 2017 by Rolling Stone.
Ratboys released their first-ever studio album entitled “Printer’s Devil” in 2020. MTV called the album their best album of the career. The band did not stop here, and they released a new song entitled “Alien With A Sleep Mask On.” They also went on the United States tour to support their newly launched album. Ratboys have also released a few EPs such as Ratboy (2011), GL (2018), and GL (8-bit Version) (2018).
