Ramon Chicharron, a multi-instrumentalist from Colombia, is an outspoken supporter of crossing boundaries and authentically fusing genres and ethnicities. Inviting listeners on journeys far and wide, Ramon's music has heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and rhythms influenced by Latin and the Caribbean.
In 2022, Ramon Chicharron returned with his fourth studio album, "Destello de Estrellas," following his critically acclaimed album "Pescador de sueños," which had over three million views on digital platforms, won the Félix Album of the Year - World Music at ADISQ 2021, and named Album of the Year at the Latin Awards Canada.
With its twelve songs about love, leaving oneself to one's fate, and the bond with nature, "Destello de Estrellas" offers a glimpse into Ramon's universe through an amalgam of electro-tropical sounds, guitars influenced by Colombian champeta, and Latin and Caribbean rhythms. The album made it to many awards shows, including the Latin Awards Canada in 2023, the GAMIQ in 2022 for Album of the Year—World Music, and the ADISQ in 2023 for Album of the Year—World Music.
